Travel and Tourism of Jatiyo Smriti Soudho, Savar

National Martyrs Memorial ( Jatiyo Smriti Soudho ) in Savar , built about 35 kilometers northwest of Dhaka in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in 1971 in the Liberation War of Bangladesh , that the independence of Bangladesh from Pakistani rule brought . Monument tower designed by architect Syed Mainul Hussain is composed of seven isosceles triangular planes , each of different size in height and base . After evaluating the 57 submissions , Syed Mainul Hossain design was chosen . The main structure and the artificial lake and other facilities were completed in 1982. The whole complex is spread over an area of 34 hectares , which again wraparound front of a green area of 10 hectares .The project was constructed in three phases . The first was launched in 1972 . During the second phase , 1974 - 1982 , Tk 3.77 were issued tens of millions for the construction of the mass graves , helipad , parking lots , sidewalks , etc. In the third phase , in 1982 , the main structure was built and cost Tk 848.65 lacs .  



The Ministry of Public Works, Government of Bangladesh supervised the construction . The Ministry of Public Works , Bangladesh Govt . was responsible for the construction . The work is collected in stages from 1972 based on the availability of resources . In mid- 1982, the "tower" building picked up and completed open December 16, 1982 in three months.
